On January 28, 2013, the Concord Housing Development Corporation (CHDC), a nonprofit organization with the charge to promote affordable housing opportunities throughout the Town of Concord, took title to a 12.8 acre parcel of land located off of Winthrop Street bordered by the Massachusetts Correctional Institute at Concord to the north and the Assabet River to the east.
The Concord Housing Development Corporation is accepting applications for the Small Grants Program, designed to provide assistance to Concord residents to make repairs and alterations to their homes for safety and health reasons.
A Housing Production Plan (HPP), defined in regulations at 760 CMR 56.03 and administered by
the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), is a proactive strategy for
planning and developing affordable housing. The HPP identifies the housing needs of a
community and the goals and strategies it will use to identify and achieve or maintain the 10%
threshold mandated by M.G.L. Chapter 40B.
