COA COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Clinic

The Concord Council on Aging (COA), in partnership with the West Concord Pharmacy, will be offering Concord residents age 65 and over who had their second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at least six months ago the opportunity to receive a booster shot on October 28th at the Harvey Wheeler Community Center.

If you are a Concord resident and over the age of 65 and interested in receiving a booster shot of the Pfizer shot, please click here or on the link below to sign up, please note that appointments are available on a first come first serve basis. People who are unable or uncomfortable using the internet may call the COA at 978-318-3020 and staff will help with the process of signing up. The Council on Aging is only providing booster clinics for the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine as that is the only vaccine for which booster shots have been approved as of October 6th, 2021.

If you haven’t been vaccinated or have questions, we encourage residents to reach out to their primary care physician and visit the State’s vaccine finder website vaxfinder.mass.gov to see about getting vaccinated at one of the many other vaccination locations the State has set up.

We're Open!

The COA is open to the public with many activities available in-person. However, beginning Friday, August 20, masks that cover your mouth and nose are required in the building at all times regardless of your vaccination status. All in-person activities require pre-registration at this time. Please call the office at 978 318 3020 to let us know you plan to attend any activities or meetings. Our new hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 4:30 and Friday from 8:30 to 2:30.

Van Service has Resumed!

Van service has resumed, and we can take van riders to and from locations within Concord. The van will also now be able to take passengers to appointments at Acton Medical. We also offer weekly shopping trips to Market Basket in Maynard and twice a month each to Crosby's Market and Trader Joe's. Check out your summer issue of the Senior Spirit newsletter for more van information. Please note our new shorter hours on Friday afternoons.

Passengers must not have virus symptoms, must wear a mask for the duration of their trip, and be ready to use hand sanitizer prior to boarding.
