Water/Sewer Applications & Construction Season Guidelines

With the exception of emergency situations or by expressed permission request to and granted by the
CPW Director for “Authorization to Work Off-Season”, water & sewer service construction work is only permitted as follows:

April 1st through November 15th (Within the Public Ways)
April 1st through December 1st (Within Private Property)

Application deadlines for all work to be performed:
November 1st for applications; work must be completed by November 15th
(Within the Public Ways)
November 15th for applications; work must be completed by December 1st
(Within Private Property)

This “construction season” is set for calendar dates aligned with cold-weather conditions,
winter-weather storm responses, typical availability of hot-mix asphalt,
and freezing temperature risks to water services.
