New! Connected Homes

Concord Municipal Light Plant (CMLP) is excited to announce that the department has joined the NextZero Connected Homes program, an innovative voluntary demand response program which allows residential customers to better manage Wi-Fi-connected devices in their homes.

Connected Homes is a tool to help CMLP residents manage their smart devices during Time of Day (TOD) rates. Sign up for Connected Homes, and CMLP will reduce your device usage during peak hours, resulting in bill savings for you.

Specific brands and models of electric vehicles and chargers, home batteries, thermostats, electric hot water heaters, and mini-split controllers are eligible for the Connected Homes program.

Through participation in Connected Homes, the growing number of customers moving toward electrification can easily and conveniently manage their home’s energy use under a TOD rate. We hope you will enroll in this new program.
