Following the discovery of three decorative streetlamps on the ground in Concord Center and one dangling, Concord Municipal Light Plant (CMLP) has begun the process of removing decorative streetlights in and around downtown Concord, while the cause of the failure is determined. The removal is being conducted out of an abundance of caution. CMLP is working with the manufacturer representative to decide the next steps for the streetlights.
The Town and CMLP recognize that the downtown area will be less lit than usual and urge people to use caution when travelling downtown at night. Public safety is a top priority for CMLP and the Town of Concord, and your patience and understanding is appreciated.
