CMLP is pleased to announce the start of its annual tree trimming program in the right-of-way to maintain the safety and reliability of electric and communication lines. This essential work will take place throughout the eastern and western portions of Concord along its roadways and is expected to continue for a couple months.
The purpose of this annual trimming is to prevent trees and vegetation from interfering with power and communication lines. Overgrown trees can cause power outages, damage equipment, and create safety hazards. By proactively trimming trees, we minimize these risks and ensure uninterrupted service for our customers.
“Safety and reliability are our top priorities,” said Joe Repoff, Assistant Director of the Light Plant. “This annual tree trimming program is crucial for preventing potential hazards and ensuring that our customers have access to uninterrupted power and communication services. We appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation as we carry out this essential work.”
During the trimming process, residents may experience temporary traffic disruptions or see crews working near power lines. We urge the public to exercise caution and maintain a safe distance from work zones.
We understand that tree trimming may cause temporary inconvenience, but it is a necessary measure to protect the community and maintain the integrity of our infrastructure. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to ensure a safe and reliable service for all.
