May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Each year, millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental health condition. In fact, 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness annually, and 1 in 6 youth aged 6–17 face a mental health disorder each year. Yet, many do not receive the care and support they need.
At the Great Meadows Public Health Collaborative, we believe mental health is essential to overall health. This May, we join communities across the nation to raise awareness, fight stigma, and advocate for access to mental health care and support services.
