Water Main Leak Detection

Water Main Leak Detection Services Begin the Week of September 30, 2025.

As part of Concord Public Works Water and Sewer Division’s preventive maintenance program and in accordance with our Water Management Act permit, water main leak detection activities will be performed over the next several weeks.  Each year, approximately half of the water mains in town are surveyed for leaks.

This year, Prowler Water Conservation Services, LLC, of Rochdale, MA, will be performing leak detection services on the northern half of the water distribution system beginning the week of September 30, 2025.

Leak detection should not cause any water quality problems. You can continue to use your water as usual. Leak detection has the ability to pinpoint very small water leaks that could otherwise go unnoticed for long periods of time.

Prowler Water Conservation Services staff use electric bicycle to efficiently facilitate the survey, so don't be surprised if you see someone with a safety vest buzzing around your neighborhood.

 If
you have any questions don't hesitate to contact CPW's Water Division at 978-318-3250.
