Septic Betterment Loan Program
The Town of Concord offers Septic Betterment Loans of up to $30,000 to assist homeowners with the replacement of a failed septic system. These loans are available at a 2% interest rate, repayable over 10 years, and are secured as a betterment assessment against the property.
To qualify, the system must be officially documented as failed, and homeowners must be current on municipal accounts such as property taxes and water bills. Funds can be used for system design, permitting, and installation. Once approved, loan reimbursements are available for direct payment to contractors or as homeowner reimbursements after proof of payment.
