Recycling Opportunities 

DropOff/SwapOff - Saturday, May 16th, 2026, 9:30 AM-3:00 PM. Pre-registration is required.  Additional information will be posted at the link: DropOff/SwapOff Days

Fluorescent Bulbs, Rechargeable Batteries, Mercury Fever Thermometers, and Thermostats – Do not put these items in the trash. Bring these items to Concord Public Works during business hours to be recycled, 133 Keyes Road, Monday -Thursday 8-4 and Friday 8-12. 

Hazardous Waste Collection - Subscribers to the municipal curbside collection program receive one free pass per year to dispose of household hazardous waste at one of the collections hosted at the Minuteman Household Hazardous Products Facility in Lexington.  Spring dates will be released in late February.  Preregistration is required at the link: Hazardous Waste Collection Events.  Please contact Concord Public Works at (978) 318-3240 with any questions.

Mattress Recycling – Mattresses can be recycled by appointment at the Compost Site at 755 Walden Street. Please contact (978) 318-3240 to schedule an appointment.  Curbside pickup for mattresses is also available monthly and information can be found at the link: Mattress Recycling.  

Paint Reuse and Disposal – Free paint and paint products are available at the Paint Shed at the Compost Site at
755 Walden Street – Saturdays 9:00 AM-3:00 PM and Wednesdays 3:00 PM-6:00 PM, April – October.  Good quality latex paint is accepted at the paint shed for reuse. Poor quality and small quantities of latex paint should be dried up and disposed of at home. 

Styrofoam Recycling – 55-gallon bags for Styrofoam recycling are available for purchase online or at 133 Keyes Road (check only) during business hours.  The filled bags can then be brought to the Compost Site at 755 Walden Street Saturdays 9:00 AM-3:00 PM and Wednesdays 3:00 PM-6:00 PM, April – October for recycling.

Textile Recycling – Donate clothes, shoes, tote bags, linens, pillows, and stuffed animals.  Recycling bins are located at Ripley, Alcott, Concord-Carlisle, and Willard schools.
