2025 Water Main Improvements
Silver Hill Road, Turning Mill Road, and Cress Brook Road
Concord Public Works (CPW) – Engineering and Water & Sewer Divisions are pleased to report that MDR Construction of Tewksbury, MA (the “Contractor”) has been contracted to replace and improve drinking water infrastructure and full road reconstruction of Silver Hill Road (Turning Mill Road to cul-de-sac) as part of the Silver Hill Road Neighborhood Infrastructure Improvement Project.
Weekly project updates will be posted.
Phase 2 will also replace:
- approximately 2,250 linear feet of 8-inch transite water main with 8-inch ductile water main
- 21 existing water services, between the water main and the curb stop at the property line·
The “Silver Hill Road Neighborhood Infrastructure Project” as-a-whole will replace 12 existing hydrants with 12 new hydrants, approximately 5,700 linear feet of water main, and 45 residential water services.
Construction activities are planned to start in October 2025 and will be completed by May 2026. The Phase 2 water main construction project will be immediately followed by street rehabilitation activities as part of the 2025 Roads Program.
