Article 24 - Transfer from the Middle School Stabilization Fund

ARTICLE 24. To determine whether the Town will transfer from the Middle School Stabilization Fund a sum of money to be used by the Board of Assessors to reduce the tax levy for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026; or take any other action relative thereto.

Article Explanation

This article seeks Town Meeting approval to transfer from the Middle School Stabilization Fund the amount of $500,000 to smooth the FY26 tax impact of the debt service associated with the Middle School Construction project.

Article Motion

Ms. Rovelli moves that the Town vote to transfer the sum of $1,000,000 from the Middle School Stabilization Fund, to be used by the Board of Assessors to reduce the tax levy for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, to offset the debt associated with the school construction project.
